Ah, vino! The right wine can turn a great meal into an outstanding dining experience. At Twin Pine Casino and Hotel, we regularly choose a leading Napa Valley/Lake County vineyard to be our Winery of the Month. We then host a wine pairing dinner at our Middletown restaurant.
This month, we’re pleased to present Moore Family Winery. Our pairing dinner will be on Friday, August 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
About Moore Family Winery
Moore Family Winery is located in the Red Hills District of the Lake County AVA (American Viticultural Area or wine growing region). Family owned and operated, the winery is the life’s work of Steve and Robin Moore. Steve spent his childhood summers in Lake County, and his love for the area is reflected in the vineyard he and his family built from the ground up.

You’re getting ready to catch a flight to the Bay Area to stay at Twin Pine Casino & Hotel and tour Napa. Of course you’ll throw your keys and wallet in your travel bag, and maybe a paperback to read on the plane. But if you want to stay healthy and comfortable on your trip, there are some other items you should consider. Include these essentials in your bag and you’ll be a happy camper from takeoff to touchdown:
The air on planes is extremely dry and consequently pulls moisture from your skin. A quick spritz of a hydrating mist for your face and arms can be very refreshing. Many sprays contain antioxidants, which are great for your skin. And keeping your skin moist helps it protect you from germs.

Whether he’s sharing humorous insights at military bases around the world, popular comedy clubs, or top casinos, comedian Barry Neal is a fan favorite. His laid back delivery and family-friendly material never fails to elicit hearty laughter from the crowd. Barry’s act appeals to people of all ages, from 18 to 80, and we’re thrilled to have him at the Grapevine Bar & Lounge inside Twin Pine Casino in the Bay Area.
The Counselor of Love
Barry grew up in Chicago as the youngest of four siblings, who he says, tongue in cheek, “resented me for being so perfect.” He attended Northwestern University where he joined the famous Mee-Ow Improv group, and fell in love with his craft. From there it was off to Los Angeles after graduation where he began his successful career in stand-up like most comedians do, working in some locations that are just outside the spotlight like Moscow, Idaho and Lake Ontonagon, Michigan.
